All of my files are gone! + Poor Performance

Yes, following the update all of my files are gone. I think its odd that no reviews are covering the performance of the app itself. I was happy with the previous version, although I always felt it was slow. It worked well, so I overlooked that. This new version is even slower, and downloading is where? You used to hold your finger in place and a window would appear asking if you wanted to download. Now nothing appears. Im very disappointed in this app, have removed it and am looking for a replacement.
I do have to acknowledge positive comments for support from the author. I sent an email about the lost files and I did get a reply with an apology.
